Pet owners are recommended that they introduce their puppies to the grooming process in the early stages of their lives, to help them familiarise themselves and get comfortable with the process. 12-16 weeks is a good time period to bring in your dog for their first-ever grooming session.
The intervals of your dog’s grooming session depend upon their breed. If you own furry dogs such as Golden Retrievers, Shih Tzus, Terriers, Lhasa Apsos, Husky, Poodles, etc., to maintain a non-shedding coat, it is recommended to get them groomed every four-to-six weeks. For dogs with shorter coats, we would recommend 8-10 weeks. However, regular brushing should be taking place at home, for all dog breeds.
A 6-week gap is an ideal time to keep between nail trimming sessions.
