There is no denying the joy a feline can bring into your life. If you are planning to get one, then we strongly support the notion of "adopt don't shop". This can be the perfect moment to grant a forever home to displaced cats by adopting one.
For those who are unsure of the adoption process, it involves interview sessions, paperwork, filling out questionnaires and having your home checked. Most adoption agencies will have the pets neutered, spayed, dewormed, vaccinated, and microchipped based on different criteria.
Below is a list of organizations and rescue groups in UAE from where you can adopt or foster one if you are planning to get a cat:
Nine Lives Adoption has grown to become the largest cat adoption center in the UAE, with 20,000 people following on Facebook and over 3000 on Instagram.
They are run by a group of volunteers who look to re-home animals in need. Any animal that is adopted must go through a 7-step health protocol which involves deworming, flea removal, test for FIV, spraying, neutering, and vaccination.
